Portable mains operated instrument, capable of operating from either 115V or 230V at 50/60Hz. It can apply up to 4kV AC and displays both output voltage and leakage current on the twin 3½ digit LCD’s.
The fail lamp illuminates and the buzzer sounds in the chosen modes:
Breakdown - fast transients can trigger the trip;
Burn - where the trip function is bypassed and the fault current flows continuously to expose the fault.
Hold shows the breakdown voltage and the leakage current.

Having both battery and mains operation and four selectable DC test voltages (500V, 1kV, 2.5kV & 5kV), this tester measures insulation resistance. The large, clear analogue scale also displays AC or DC voltage up to 1000V. Latching test switch allows hands free testing.
With full over-voltage and over-current protection for measurements and 8 hours operation from rechargeable Nicad batteries, the E3511 comes in a carry case. Standard accessories include locking 2m test leads with prods and clips.
